Entropy Machine

The Entropy Machine is a kinetic sound sculpture: a tilted spinning platter carrying a continuous, ever-changing cascade of ball bearings. The exact path of each ball is a matter of chance and physics; their collective behavior produces an organic mechanical soundscape — like a white noise machine, but driven by real physical randomness rather than a digital loop.
Each machine is designed and built by Jesse Seay Studio LLC in Chicago. Currently moving from prototype into production, with first units expected in 2026.
